Khor Kalba Mangrove Park, Sharjah (East Coast)

The Mangrove Centre is opened its doors in April 2021, after nearly a decade of restoration and conservation. The new mangrove centre is part of Sharjah’s efforts to support environmental biodiversity and preserve local wildlife. The park is home to remarkable mangrove landscape that originated here on the coast off Kalba, where fresh and salt water is mixed in the inland streams and lakes. Ebb and flow determine this specific type of nature, so that the mangrove is sometimes dry and sometimes (partly) under water. Beautiful park and indoor visitors centre.
