Museum of Illusions
We did a lovely day trip to the Old city of Dubai and visited also The Museum of Illusions. This museum offers a visual, sensory and educational journey. There are several rooms where you can experience weird optical illusions and holograms. They manage to let your eyes see things which your brain cannot process. It is just so CRAZY! The museum isn't too big, but has a lot to offer; we had great fun. Lovely for the whole family, also with young children.
You will find this museum in the heart of Old Dubai; beautiful setting, see the pictures below ... we combined the trip with dinner and an abra boat trip, read our blog below.
Ames Room (small & big)
The Chair illusion
Rotated Room
This is a 'world upside down' room, where we tried to create some cool pictures.. which was quite tricky (-;
Vortex Tunnel
This tunnel makes us believe the ground is shifting under our feet as we have to navigate through a rotating cylinder (and the surface remains stable and flat). Very strange!!
Infinity Room (mirror room)
Anti-Gravity Room
Playroom
Here we did some educational games and puzzles. These brain-teasers are definitely great fun but arre frustrating as well, as we couldn't solve them.
Dinner & boat trip
We finished the day with a fabulous dinner at Al Khayma Heritage Restaurant, kids had fries and we had traditional bits and bites. After this, we made just a short boat trip on Dubai Creek (as it was very hot). It was a lovely afternoon and evening.
