Museum of the Future

Opened 22-02-'22! After years of building and preparation, the Museum of the Future has finally opened the doors for public. And what an architectural wonder this is (with Dutch input). Just stunning!!! The Museum is designed by architect Shaun Killa, a veteran in Dubai's architecture industry. BAM International (main contractor) and BuroHappold (engineering consultants, UK) worked together on the realization of the museum. The seven-storey, pillarless structure occupies an area of 30,000 square meters and is 77 meters high. The most striking part of the toroidal structure is the Arabic calligraphy, engraved on the stainless steel facade. More than 14,000 feet of wisdom is carved into the structure. Quotes from Sheikh Mohammed about the future and legacy are the words designed by Emirati artist Mattar bin Lahej. One of the quotes is: "The future belongs to those who can conceive, design and execute it." It visited TMOF with a group, I was showing around.
