Rain Room Sharjah

The Sharjah Art foundation - Rain Room (2012) is very special, as you to walk through a downpour of continuous rain without getting wet. How it works? The responsive environment follows you as you navigate through the underground space, preventing the rain from falling directly above any detected human presence. We did this trip with our friends, Gideon, Mascha, Krijn and Nina and it was particular pleasant, as the temperature outside was 40+ degrees. After a while, the children started to run and dance, and they got soaking wet, because the technic only works when you walk slowly. Outside they were dry in 10 minutes ;-). We combined this trip with a lunch at Jones The Grocer on Flag Island Sharjah and finished the day with watching the dutch ladies play in the 2019 FIFA Woman World Cup and we played the 'Interfamily Foosball Table Competition', which we, The Blonks, unfortunately lost.
