La Mer: Dubai’s most memorable beach

In recent years, many new (public and private) beach concepts have emerged in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. La Mer is one of Dubai's newest destinations, developed by Meraas in May 2018 and, we must say, it is a top lifestyle and entertainment A-location (north of Jumeirah beach 2). Our first visit was on Valentijn's birthday, May 26 2018, but after that, we visit this beach more often, also with our friends, Paul, Annemarie, Marijn & Phileine. 

Do the whole La Mer Experience

La Mer can be roughly divided into 3 sub-areas, La Mer South, La Mer Central and La Mer North with an area of ​​13.4 million m2, in which more than 130 shops , cafes, restaurants and entertainment attractions along a waterfront promenade have been realized. La Mer is beautifully designed with a lot of liveliness in the form of park-like landscapes with play options for children, contemporary catering concepts, Street arts, beautiful (public) white beach over a length of 2.5 km and as the 'finishing touch' Laguna Waterpark (see our blog under 'theme and water parks' on this website).
