Dubai is a magical place where the Arab culture and modern life go easily together. As part of the (seven) United Arab Emirates, Dubai has grown into a thriving and very liberal metropolis, in which many architectural highlights have been developed, such as Dubai Frame, Burj Khalifa, and in the neighboring emirate, The Louvre Abu Dhabi. In the old city we found a lot of history of the origins of Dubai, like pearl diving, fishing and the old souks. We have seen a few mosques, but the Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi was very special. A characteristic of the Arab culture and the Emirati people is certainly also the hospitality, that we have often encountered. How we have come to love this country. Wow!
