Grand Mosque Abu Dhabi

What a beautiful, peaceful place this is. This was also one of the first places we visited when we came to the UAE. The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Abu Dhabi s the largest one in the country and is constructed between 1996 and 2007. There is no entrance fee for the mosque, it is a place of worship equally respected by Muslims and non-Muslims.

***entrance to the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is not guaranteed during Islamic Holidays.

The dress code - Men and boys are not permitted to wear shorts or wear short sleeves and women and girls are required to wear an Abaya (traditional robe) and a Shayla (head scarf). If you don't have these clothes, both can be hired at the main entrance. It is truly a beautiful, serene place.
